Melody Kessler has worked in the Human Resources field for over twenty five years. Prior to co-founding Employment Training Associates LLC, Ms. Kessler was the Human Resources Director for the California State University, San Marcos. She also was the Group Human Resources Director for the County of San Diego’s Health and Human Services Agency, where she was responsible for more than 7,000 employees. She spent nine years as the Assistant Director of Human Resources for the City of Chula Vista, and before that, was the Personnel Manager for the City of Santee.

Ms. Kessler has been responsible all aspects of Human Resources management including enforcement of state and federal laws, writing and implementing policies, conducting investigations, labor relations, employee relations, risk management, workers compensation, recruitment, selection, classification, compensation and training management, supervisors and staff. During her career in human resources, Ms. Kessler has dealt extensively (including responding to and meeting with state and federal enforcement agencies) with claims of harassment, discrimination, retaliation and wrongful termination.

Ms. Kessler received a Bachelor’s of Science and a Masters in Public Administration from San Diego State University, She has earned the designation of a Certified Professional through the International Public Management Association-Human Resources. She has also received training at the Disney Institute, Stanford University as well as attended many seminars and trainings to stay current in the field of Human Resources.
