Chapter
Overview
The North Bay
Chapter of the International Public Management Association for
Human Resources is made up of public agencies located within the
two Counties of Solano and Napa within the State of California.
Our objectives are:
- To provide
a forum for persons engaged in public personnel administration
to discuss their current problems and to provide for a medium
for the mutual self-improvement;
- To implement
the objectives and program of the IPMA-HR within the Chapter
area;
- To explain
and interpret the objectives and methods of personnel administration
to the general public, civic groups, government officials and
employees; and,
- To encourage
and facilitate cooperative action among public jurisdictions
and private employers within the Chapter area on personnel problems
of mutual concern.
Membership
- Stay current
with latest trends in the human resources field and get the
latest news of the breakthroughs in experimental personnel programs.
- Gain practical
knowledge on new development, trends, policies, and issues that
shape today’s human resources field by attending IPMA-HR’s
luncheons, seminars, and workshops.
- Network
and discuss issues with colleagues in the human resources field
and get involved with our chapter’s committees, as well
as leadership opportunities as an officer, board member, chapter
committee chair, or awards banquet committee chair.
- Receive
registration discounts on IPMA-HR meetings, workshops, seminars,
and activities.

Events
The North
Bay Chapter meets every other month, alternating
between Napa and Solano Counties.

Stevens will give us a Legal Update.
