Dr. Oscar Spurlin

Dr. Oscar Spurlin is an Industrial/Organizational Psychologist. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee in 1977. His B.S. in Psychology from the University of Georgia. Dr. Spurlin has twenty seven years experience as a consultant in personnel management for both the public and private sectors. He is an expert in the field of measurement and job analysis and has developed and used many different job analysis systems for employee selection, compensation and performance appraisal. Dr. Spurlin’s work has concentrated in developing and validating new approaches to selection. Ergometrics’ approach relies on simulation of critical job demands using a variety of media. Ergometrics has pioneered testing procedures for physical abilities, and work simulation using multimedia. He has implemented nationally used procedures for internet based screening. Dr. Spurlin has presented at numerous national conferences and published technical reports as well as serving as an expert witness in employment litigation.
