"Rights, Responsibilities and Issues: Legal Updates for HR "

Drawing from his expertise as a key, legal resource for both public and private-sector HR communities in the Denver metropolitan HR community, Chuck will address some of the key legal issues that are currently facing the HR industry and those core legal hot-beds that we must address in the coming future.

Chuck Passaglia is a sole practitioner in employment law in Littleton, Colorado. He also founded and manages Employment Law Solutions, Inc., a human resources consulting firm, which specializes in conducting workplace investigations and training the entire workforce in critical employment law compliance matters, including harassment and violence prevention, wage and hour rules, managing employees' absences, and protections under the anti-discrimination laws. Previously, he was a litigation associate with Moye Giles in Denver and in-house employment law counsel for Mountain States Employers Council, Inc. He is a regular contributor to human resources publications and a lively and entertaining presenter at national and local conferences. In addition, he is an adjunct faculty member at Regis University; the former Legislative Affairs Director for the Colorado State Society for Human Resource Management; and a volunteer ombudsman for the Colorado Committee for the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve. He is also a Captain in the Navy Reserve and is a veteran of Operation Desert Storm in the Persian Gulf. Chuck received a degree in Philosophy from St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri and his law degree from the University of Denver.
